Here in Australia and around the world, Save The Children Australia give a powerful voice to children and champion their rights. As a global organisation, Save the Children directly reaches millions of children whose rights are threatened across more than 100 countries every year. 

Hope In A Suitcase

 

Hope in a Suitcase Australia is a volunteer-run non-profit organisation dedicated to showing love and support to children entering the foster care system. They provide each child with their own suitcase, offering a secure place for their belongings and a symbol of care from the community as they navigate their journey.

The May 50K – MS Australia

The May 50K is a virtual fitness and fundraising challenge that raises life-changing funds for MS research and making a lasting impact to over 33,000 Australians living with MS.

Children’s Cancer Institute

An organization dedicated to eradicating childhood cancer. As the sole independent medical research institute in Australia focused on this cause, their work is crucial in saving young lives.

Brain Child

Brainchild Foundation are on a mission to beat childhood brain and spinal cord tumours for ‘better tomorrows’. They are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of affected families through emotional, educational and emergency financial support and to strive for better outcomes for future generations.

Kidney Health Australia

Kidney Health Australia are the peak body for kidney health in Australia. For over 50 years, Kidney Health Australia have connected people to the vital information, education and support services they need to preserve their kidney health and live a better quality of life if they are diagnosed with kidney disease.

Kidney Health Australia work with a range of stakeholders and community groups to drive innovations and improvements in the management of kidney disease, so that one day every Australian can enjoy good kidney health.

Mental Health Carers NSW

As the peak body, MHCN works with and for mental health in carers NSW. They represent the voices and lived experience of carers which help us to advocate systemically for mental health reform.

Black Dog Institute

Black Dog Institute’s mission addresses the staggering reality: 1 in 5 Australians grapple with mental health symptoms annually, totaling about 5 million individuals, with 60% foregoing assistance.

Black Dog Institute’s unique status as Australia’s sole research institute dedicated to mental health across all ages drives them to cultivate a mentally healthier global landscape.

Bully Zero

Bully Zero is Australia’s leading bullying prevention charity, founded by Ali Halkic in response to the tragic cyberbullying-related death of his son, Allem, in 2009. Ali, along with a group of dedicated parents who had also lost children to bullying, successfully lobbied the Victorian State Government to install barriers on the Westgate Bridge in Melbourne, preventing suicides. In March 2013, the organization was launched by Prime Minister Julia Gillard, and today, Ali continues his commitment to preventing bullying as a Director and Founding Patron of Bully Zero.

PTSD Dogs Australia

PTSD Dogs Australia are a not-for-profit charity solely dedicated to the rescuing, rehoming, and training of suitable displaced and unwanted dogs to support and assist Australia’s first responders (fire, police, and ambulance service-people) and Australian Defence Force personnel suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Dementia Australia provide information, education, counselling and support to people living with dementia and families and carers of people with dementia. 

AEIOU Foundation

The AEIOU Foundation supports children with autism by providing specialist therapy and care to people and families living in QLD, SA and ACT. 

Dolly’s Dream

Dolly’s Dream is committed to changing the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families. 

Soldier On

Soldier On was established in 2012 by John Bale, Dr Danielle Clout and Cavin Wilson. The aim of this new not-for-profit organisation was to support Defence personnel injured physically or psychologically in the line of duty.

In just a decade, Soldier On has significantly expanded its programs, services and advocacy work to become a lifeline for current and former members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and their families.

Suicide Prevention Australia

Suicide Prevention Australia is the national peak body for the suicide prevention sector. They exist to provide a clear, collective voice for suicide prevention, so that together they can save lives. Through collaboration and shared purpose, they work towards their ambition of a world without suicide.

Mental Health Australia

Mental Health Australia is a national non-government organization that represents the interests of the Australian mental health sector. They aim to promote mentally healthy communities, educate Australians on mental health issues, influence mental health reform, conduct research on mental health issues, and focus on the human rights of people with mental illness. It is important to note that one in five Australians are affected by mental illness annually.

headspace

headspace puts young people at the forefront of their services by involving them in the development and evaluation of their programs. With 140 centres across Australia, along with online and phone counselling services, work and study support, and services for mental health, physical health, and alcohol and other drugs, headspace assists thousands of young people annually.

Cystic Fibrosis Australia

Cystic Fibrosis Australia is dedicated to improving the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. To achieve this goal, they focus on a range of initiatives, including collaborative programs and research, funding partnerships, and advocacy efforts. By working in partnership with medical professionals and other stakeholders, they strive to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes.

Warrina Domestic & Family Violence Specialist Services

Warrina Domestic & Family Violence Specialist Services’ mission is to help women and children live free from violence and abuse by providing support and empowerment. In order to achieve their mission, they work with communities to promote respectful relationships and reject all forms of violence. Additionally, they assist women and children in understanding and recovering from the effects of violence and abuse.

Australian Lions Hearing Dogs

Australian Lions Hearing Dogs (ALHD) is a non-profit organization that has been providing professionally trained Hearing Assistance Dogs to Australians who are deaf or hard of hearing for over 40 years. They aim to help individuals with hearing difficulties and to support their friends and families by delivering over 650 Hearing Assistance Dogs in 2020. ALHD provides these furry ears free of charge, and their mission is to make a difference in the lives of those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Bears of Hope

Bears of Hope provides comfort, support, and counselling to parents and families who have lost a baby during pregnancy, birth, or infancy. In pursuit of their charitable objects, they aim to relieve suffering, reduce feelings of isolation, and provide early support. Moreover, they seek to reach parents who have suffered loss by forming strong relationships with medical institutions and providing incidental support to the wider community affected by the loss of a baby. Above all, their primary purpose is to provide direct relief to affected parents and families.
