NDIS Plan Mentor (Plan Management Services)

Tweed Heads, NSW | Full-Time (38hrs)

Please note: we require experience for this role and for you to demonstrate your ability to fulfill the essential requirements of the role. Please read the instructions at the bottom of the description carefully as we will only respond to candidates who can demonstrate their ability to perform in the role. You must be eligible to live and work in Australia.

This role would suit someone with 2+ year of experience in NDIS Plan Management who understands all facets of the plan management role with an emphasis on participant choice and control. This role is supported by an amazing team with a different approach to traditional plan management roles. Disabled people and/or people with lived experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Hybrid Work will be considered by candidates who can demonstrate an ability to work from home with a great attitude and an appropriate work-from-home structure in place after a successful probation period.

ABOUT US:

THE ROLE:
To provide high-quality, collaborative, and direct support to plan manage clients in an accurate and timely manner, with a focus on developing, building, and maintaining relationships. To ensure that all NDIS reporting and compliance requirements are met and that clients have a full understanding of their NDIS budgets and decision-making. You will be well supported by an experienced management team and amazing team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This dynamic position will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • At this level, employees may be required to supervise team members or volunteers in their day-to-day work. Employees with supervisory responsibilities may undertake some complex operational work and may undertake planning and coordination of activities within a clearly defined area of the organisation.
  • Assist clients in understanding their plans, the scope of budgeting/spending, and the NDIS price guide.
  • Ensure claims and reporting are accurate and timely.
  • Assist with and provide high-quality record management within CRM Work within a team to support a diverse range of NDIS-funded clients.
  • Ensure ongoing retention and engagement of participants and their teams through relationship building, friendly service and a great attitude.
  • Provide high levels of service and general advice & guidance to the differing needs of clients.
  • Ensure all data and information is current and NDIS Plans are reviewed regularly.
  • Ensure all timeframes and targets are achieved for responsive communication, inquiries, and milestone contact with clients.
  • Proactively ensure that Your Plan Manager is represented and promoted within the industry and community.
  • Contribute to supporting client choice and control over their plans using industry knowledge and experience.
  • Ensure correspondence and documentation are managed efficiently and confidentially.
  • Identify and report any risks to the Manager Maintain current knowledge of the NDIS, Quality and Safeguards, price guides, and guidelines and proactively drive your learning and growth.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures and engage in performance improvement and coaching Proactively participate in team communication, including meetings.
  • Be responsible for managing and planning their work and that of team members or volunteers if allocated and may be required to deal with formal disciplinary issues within the work area.
  • Actively and positively participate in training provided.
  • Other responsibilities as and when directed by Your Plan Manager.
  • Be an effective time manager of your work and team tasks.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced understanding and commitment to person-centered support and services to people with a disability, their teams, and service providers.
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Disability, Customer Service or higher and/or similar demonstrated work-related experience in working with people with a disability.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a plan management role with an emphasis on relationships with a diverse range of clients and their teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in a client relationship role where developing, building, and maintaining relationships is a priority to ensure client retention and growth.
  • Familiarity with the basics of human resource management principles and the capability to provide on-the-job training support to Plan Services Officers or volunteers.
  • Demonstrated experience in responsibility for quality outcomes through relationship management and high-volume client/customer interactions using established tools, processes, procedures, and scripts.
  • Proven expertise in interpreting the NDIS price guide, statutory requirements, planning decisions, and reasonable and necessary scope of plan funding.
  • Advanced understanding of specialised supports and services available to people with a disability with an emphasis on quality providers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in using a variety of technology software and Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel) and the ability to troubleshoot within computer software and systems.
  • NDIS Worker Screening certificate to be acquired upon employment
  • Own laptop.

Administration Officer – NDIS Plan Support

This role is designed to support the functions of plan management and client relationships within the company. Our clients include people with a disability, their support teams, and providers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This dynamic position will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

  • Ensure claims and reporting are accurate and timely. Ensure correspondence and documentation are managed efficiently and confidentially.
  • Assist with and provide high-quality record management within CRM.
  • Collaborate within a team to assist a diverse array of NDIS-funded clients. Take an engaged stance in team communication, encompassing meetings, and contribute actively and positively during training sessions.
  • Engage with senior team members by forwarding complex inquiries, providing support to achieve timeframes and targets, and promptly identifying/reporting risks to the Manager.
  • Continuously stay informed about NDIS policies, Quality and Safeguards measures, pricing guidelines, and protocols.
  • Show proactive commitment to ongoing learning and personal growth.
